Job Title: Echocardiographer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 3 + Months (Potential to extend)

Shift: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Tuesdays off)
Schedule: No nights, call, or weekends
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join the team for a contract assignment. The role involves performing transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms, and supporting exercise or dobutamine stress echocardiograms under direction of a trained echocardiographer. The position requires strong technical skills, adherence to professional standards, and the ability to deliver quality imaging for a primarily adult patient population.


Requirements:

• Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer required
  • Proficiency in performing routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D, 3D, Doppler, TEE)
  • Ability to recognize basic cardiac pathology and prepare preliminary reports
  • Experience with equipment operation, cleaning, maintenance, and preventive care
• Education:
  • Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree, OR
  • 12-month CAAHEP-approved School of Ultrasound Technology, OR
  • Cardiovascular Technology program, OR equivalent education
• Certifications:
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac ultrasound
  • RDCS or RCS credential (must be obtained within 12 months of start if not already held)
