The role involves assisting with patient care, managing medical office tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic to deliver high-quality patient care. Candidates must be able to float to other facilities as needed.

Job Summary:

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:
- Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Assist patients with mobility, dressing, and room preparation.
- Take vital signs, assist with procedures, and relay instructions.
- Prepare exam rooms and instruments following sterilization standards.

Administrative Support:
- Enter orders into EMR and prepare prescription refill requests.
- Manage patient charts, medical records, lab/x-ray reports, and referrals.
- Schedule appointments, procedures, surgeries, and verify insurance information.
- Maintain inventory and stock of medical supplies; check expiration dates.
- Maintain logs for medications, sterilization processes, crash carts, and testing.

Compliance & Safety:
- Follow infection control, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hospital safety policies.
- Maintain secure, safe, and organized work environment.

Other Duties:
- Provide coverage across other facilities as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience as a medical assistant.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Phlebotomy experience desirable.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with multicultural patients.
