Duration: 3 months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: 14:30 – 23:00 (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), 8 hours
Role Overview:
This leadership nursing role involves the provision and coordination of patient care using the nursing process in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics. The RN delegates, directs, and supports licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes while fostering a culturally sensitive and collaborative environment aligned with unit and department goals.

Education & Certifications:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (ADN or Diploma)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Required: Current RN license in state of practice
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize nursing process to deliver patient-centered care
- Assess and address learning needs of patients and families
- Lead, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively
- Collaborate as a partner on interdisciplinary teams
- Use data and evidence to drive quality improvement
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
- Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences
- Adapt communication and care to the needs and preferences of patients
- Perform other related duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Proficient with computers and healthcare software
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly across all levels of staff and patients
- Skilled at time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Heavy work: lifting 50–100 lbs occasionally; standing/walking for extended periods
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and communicable diseases
- Potential exposure to hazardous medications and waste
- Work performed in clinical patient care settings
Compliance & Safety:
- Upholds all compliance, privacy, and ethical standards
- Reports unethical or unsafe behaviors promptly
- Adheres to company policies and promotes a safe workplace
