Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care in a hospital setting to a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

General Description:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care in a hospital setting to a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for a designated group of patients.
- Administer medications, blood products, and intravenous infusions as prescribed.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments; accurately update medical records and physician orders.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor and respond to patients' physiological status and intervene as needed.
- Communicate the care plan to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and care plans.
- Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff while maintaining overall responsibility for patient care.

- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership or as required for unit needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to coordinate and evaluate nursing services effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
- Competency in responding to cultural and language needs of diverse populations.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- [None specified, but experience in specialty units can be a plus.]
Education & Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license in [Insert State].
