Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
Pay Rate: $64 – $90/hr. on W2
Shift: 5x8 – All Shifts Available
Schedule Notes: All shifts are needed. 5x8 schedule. Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Abbreviated compliance will be discussed upon offer.

Job Summary:
The RN – Ambulatory Care provides treatment adherence to education and Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) for HIV ART medications and as requested, Hepatitis C medications. This role supports improved viral suppression outcomes through patient education, medication management, and close collaboration with providers and pharmacies. The RN also supports day-to-day clinical operations within the Primary Care Center.

Job Summary:
The RN – Ambulatory Care provides treatment adherence to education and Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) for HIV ART medications and as requested, Hepatitis C medications. This role supports improved viral suppression outcomes through patient education, medication management, and close collaboration with providers and pharmacies. The RN also supports day-to-day clinical operations within the Primary Care Center.
Responsibilities:
- Educate patients on prescribed HIV and Hepatitis C medications, including potential side effects.
- Dispense medications per provider orders (daily, weekly, or biweekly).
- Document all DOT encounters in accordance with policy and DOT log requirements.
- Report and document patient-reported or observed side effects the same day.
- Coordinate medication orders and act as liaison between providers and pharmacies.
- Manage receipt, storage, and security of ART medications.
- Monitor adherence and communicate non-compliance issues to providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, QA/QI initiatives, and staff meetings.
- Schedule and reschedule DOT appointments and conduct patient outreach for missed visits.
- Assist with triage and provide nursing support in the clinic, including vitals, screenings, medication administration, POC testing, and patient education.
- Provide coverage for Primary Care Center Nurse as needed.
- Maintain exam room cleanliness, equipment functionality, and supply inventory.
- Assist with prior authorizations and daily interdisciplinary huddle preparation.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- BSN required.
- BLS certification.
- 1–5 years of experience in HIV treatment education and DOT services.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Experience using electronic health records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform clinical duties involving standing, walking, bending, and patient interaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
