RN Outpatient Surgery - FS

Job Title: RN Outpatient Surgery - FS
Location: Edmond, OK 73034
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 4 days/week; 10-hour shifts (08:30 AM – 07:00 PM); On-call required (1–3 days/month 7PM–7AM and occasional weekend 7AM–7AM)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physician in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care and communicates care plans with patients and families.
• Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.
• Makes referrals regarding patient care needs.
• Delegates tasks to support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• 1 year of experience
• Pre-op and Phase II experience required
• Current RN License (Oklahoma or compact)
• Current BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)

Preferences:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing
