Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 3 Months with possible extension+

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shift and on call is required

Requirements:

• A state professional registered nurse license or multi-state compact license is required.
• BLS is required.
• Must be able to function independently in all areas of Endoscopy, including advanced endoscopy procedures of EUS, ERCP, as well as pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS.
• Expertise in bariatric procedures and ION Robot is preferred.

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
