Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse – Float

Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse – Float
Location: Dallas, GA 30157
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Schedule: 32–40 hours/week (Full-Time Contingent)

• Includes every other weekend
• May require floating to nearby locations
• Shifts range from 7 to 10 hours, scheduled in 6-week blocks after 3 weeks of training
• Must be available for some major holidays

 
Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Administer vaccinations and injections (influenza, COVID-19, TB, etc.)
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Provide emergency care support alongside the provider
• Perform patient registration, intake, and checkout
• Support waiting room operations, outreach calls, and appointment scheduling
• Serve as chaperone for sensitive exams
• Ensure the clinic and patient spaces are prepared and welcoming

 
Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
• Previous experience administering immunizations and injections
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Ability to perform CPR and use an AED
• Must pass FIT test and wear respirator when required
• BLS certification (AHA) — must be valid for at least 30 days beyond start date
• Must hold a full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.
• Graduate of a state-approved or NLNAC-accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
