Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) -Telemetry (Local | Travel)
Location: Oakland, CA - 94611
Contract: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
 
Shifts: 12-hr Days or Nights | 36 hrs/week
Local Pay: $70 – $80/hr. on W2
Travel Pay: $2,700–$3,300/week (stipend available for candidates living >50 miles)
 
Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Interpret telemetry strips and promptly identify and respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused cardiac and systemic assessments and document findings accurately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
• Respond to emergencies, initiate life-saving interventions, and participate in rapid response and code situations
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and compliance with all regulatory requirements

 
Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Telemetry experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in the state where care is provided
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Basic Arrhythmia course required
