Job Type: 3 Months+ - 40hrs/week
Schedule: Four 10's per week, day shift-variable, no weekends, no call.
Local Pay: $50/hr - $60/hr -W2
Max Pay Travel: $70/hr. on W2
$2800/Gross weekly (Stipends included)

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Outpatient Services / PACU team. This role is crucial in prepping surgical patients and providing recovery care across Phase I and II PACU settings. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, champion patient-centered care, and support procedural excellence across inpatient and outpatient cases.

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Outpatient Services / PACU team. This role is crucial in prepping surgical patients and providing recovery care across Phase I and II PACU settings. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, champion patient-centered care, and support procedural excellence across inpatient and outpatient cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings in the EMR (Epic preferred).
- Develop individualized, age-appropriate plans of care based on clinical assessments and patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and families to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide, delegate, and supervise patient care, including pre-op readiness and post-op recovery (Phase I & II).
- Participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary communication.
- Lead and support patient safety, clinical compliance, and policy adherence in a high-acuity setting.
- Serve as a charge nurse or preceptor as assigned—fostering leadership and team mentorship.
- Engage in continuous learning through in-services, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective resource utilization to support cost-effective and high-quality care delivery.
- Adapt to unit and hospital-wide changes with professionalism and flexibility.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN License – Required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience (PACU experience highly preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in:
- Pre-op patient preparation
- Post-anesthesia care (Phase I & II recovery)
- PAT (Pre-Anesthesia Testing)
- Experience with Epic EMR – Strongly preferred
