Job Title: RN - Med/Surg Neuro
Location Available: Portland, ME 04102
Duration: 3- 4 Months+ Contract (Possibilities of Extension)

Job Type: Contract | 36 hours/week guaranteed

Shift : Night

Weekends: Every other weekend required
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As needed within scope of practice
 
Unit Information:

• Unit Type: Neuro/Ortho/Trauma
• Number of Beds: 26
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
  • Days: 1:4–5
  • Nights: 1:5–6
• EMR System: Epic
• Common Equipment: Standard inpatient neuro/trauma monitoring and care equipment

• Neurosurgical cases: spinal surgeries, spine fractures, brain tumors
• Neurological disorders: seizure disorders, VP shunt management, head bleeds
• Orthopedic/trauma: joint replacements, traumatic injuries

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience preferred
• Neuro or neurosurgical experience strongly preferred

• Team-oriented with a proactive, collaborative attitude
• Effective communicator with strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail

• Scrub Color: No specific color required – professional attire expected
• Unacceptable Attire: Clothing with unprofessional logos or slogans

• No call required
• Must be flexible to float as needed
