Job Title: Oncology RN – Leukemia & Lymphoma (Night Shift)
Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: 3 Months+ (with possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $65 - $73/hr. on W2
Schedule Notes: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12 shifts | Every Other Weekend | Required Holidays as needed | No On-Call | Floating required

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in the care of adult oncology patients, specifically specializing in leukemia and lymphoma. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care, developing individualized care plans, and performing therapeutic nursing interventions. The RN provides patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice standards and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Initiate assessments based on patient needs, physician diagnosis, and functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of oncology patients.
- Document care accurately according to standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practices and support innovations in care delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient-centric care consistent with oncology best practices.
- Float to other units as required.
Requirements:
- Active NJ RN License or Compact State License (NLC).
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Two (2) years of acute adult oncology experience (leukemia & lymphoma inpatient setting).
- Clinical competence with IVs, central lines, telemetry, and chemotherapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN.
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
- Prior oncology/hematology inpatient experience.
