Job Title: RN Ortho Trauma - FS
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 3 + Months (Possibilities of Extension)

General Description:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a wide range of health conditions, from simple to complex. The RN uses critical thinking, clinical judgment, and nursing expertise to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assume responsibility for a designated group of patients, providing continuous nursing care
  • Document patient responses to interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note changes in physician orders
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic or treatment procedures
  • Monitor and obtain physiological data and respond appropriately to any abnormalities
  • Administer medications and therapies as prescribed
  • Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood product transfusions
  • Deliver nursing care competently and in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
  • Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout the hospital stay and during discharge
  • Educate patients and families on hospital procedures, treatment plans, and home care needs
  • Make appropriate referrals for follow-up care
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff while maintaining overall responsibility for patient outcomes
 
General Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the role and scope of practice
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of recent acute care or hospital-based nursing experience
  • Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, evidence-based practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate patient care activities efficiently
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Cultural competence and ability to respond to diverse patient populations
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., electronic medical records systems)
 
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Required Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current RN license in [Insert State]
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
