Job Title: RN - Med/Surg
Location: New York, NY, 10037
Duration: 03/09/2026 – 06/13/2026
Schedule Notes: One Contract No Extension
Shift: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Schedule: 3 days/week, 11.5 hours/day, 34.5 hours/week, No On-Call Required
Pay Rate: $60-$64/hr.




Required Skills & Experience

  • Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.

  • Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.

  • Physical assessment

  • Medication administration

  • Wound care & Infection control

  • IV therapy

  • Post-operative care

  • Patient education

  • Telemetry monitoring



Preferred Skills & Experience

  • EPIC EMR experience




Education

Required Education:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute



Licensure & Certifications

Required Certification & Licensure:

  • New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification

  • AHA BLS

  • AHA ACLS (Queens only)




Job Responsibilities

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals

  • Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients

  • Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications

  • Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs

  • Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements

  • Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner

  • Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team

  • Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care

  • Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records

  • Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols
