Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Bakersfield, CA - 93306
Contract Type: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: 40hr/ week | 10hr Nights| Rotating weekends | On-call required
Pay Local: $60 - $70/hr. W2 (Negotiable)
Pay Range: $3000 - $3400 Gross Weekly (Depending on Experience)
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide and coordinate direct patient care in the OR, adhering to nursing standards, policies, and California Nurse Practice Act regulations.
• Assess patients pre- and post-operatively, identifying physiological and psychosocial risk factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, revising as patient needs evolve.
• Monitor patient responses and promptly act on changes in condition, initiating emergency protocols as necessary.
• Administer medications and manage controlled substances in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate effectively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict infection control standards and adhere to all hospital safety policies.
• Participate in continuing education, unit meetings, and nursing governance activities to support quality improvement.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience.
• License: Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
