Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU
Location: Bakersfield, CA - 93306
Duration: 3+ Months (Possible Extension)

Shift: Night Shift | 12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Range: $50 - $60/hr. – W2
Pay Travel: $2100 - $2600 Gross weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill neonatal patients using the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interpret clinical data, identify risk factors, and escalate variances from normal parameters with urgency and accuracy.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans in partnership with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams.
• Respond decisively to emergencies, prioritizing interventions with sound clinical judgment.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and ensure alignment with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
• Champion patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols, medication guidelines, and hospital policies.
• Foster a healing environment for patients and families through empathetic communication and trusted relationships.

• Active and unrestricted California RN License.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in NICU or high-acuity settings.
• Advanced NRP certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Hands-on experience with Cerner EMR.
