Job Title: RN Med Surg
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 6 Weeks+ (Possibility of Extension)
 
Shift: 12-hour night shifts with every third weekend required
Pay rate: $55/Hr. on W2
 
Job Description:
The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. All care is provided based on the concepts inherent in the model of care for Client which promotes an on-going partnership between patients and families and the team of healthcare providers. The care is culturally based and age specific. The RN adheres to American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and to the Product of practice described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
 
Responsibilities:

• 58-bed orthopaedic/neurosurgery unit located in The Joint and Spine Centre (Client) on floors 4-5, with all private rooms.
• Equipped with Navicure Nurse Call system, in-room computing, patient information/precaution monitors, and texting communication.
• Specializes in caring for patients undergoing orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures, including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, spinal surgeries, craniotomies, and intracranial hemorrhage treatments.
• May receive medical/surgical overflow patients as needed.
• Offers staff a solid foundation in medical-surgical nursing through the diverse patient population.

Additional Details:

• 6-week contract
• Nights and every third weekend required
• Required: 2 years of acute m/s experience (within the last 5 years)
• Preferred: Epic experience, MS neuro/Client experience
• Must submit candidates with evaluation references from within the last 2 years (travel reference preferred)
