Job Title: Travel RN - Telemetry I
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days 7AM - 7PM; 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required

Job Responsibilities:

• Meets expectations of the applicable Client Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact

Preferences:

• Experience with cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)
• Ability to manage nurse/patient ratio of 5:16:1
• Completion of onboarding, orientation, and competency requirements as outlined
• Participation in residency program (for new graduates, if applicable)
