Job Title: Oncology (ONC) - Critical Need
Job Location: San Jose, CA
Job Duration: 6-7 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 11:00am - 11:30pm
Payrate: $75.00/ hr. on w2

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to oncology patients in accordance with facility policies and standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IV fluids, and supportive medications as ordered.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications related to chemotherapy and cancer treatments.
• Manage oncology-related symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, infection risk, and dehydration.
• Provide central line care (PICC lines, ports, catheters) and ensure proper infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients and families on chemotherapy regimens, side effects, nutrition, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare staff for coordinated care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions when required.

Certification / Licenses:

• Active California RN License.
• BLS Certification (AHA Required).
• ACLS Certification (AHA Required).
• Chemo-ONS Certification.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Oncology RN experience (preferred).
• Strong IV therapy and infusion skills.

Hours per Day: 12.00
Hours per Week: 36.00
