The RN uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, ensuring safe passage for patients while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct accurate clinical assessments and prioritize patient/family needs.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized nursing plans of care.
- Maintain safe, compassionate, and therapeutic patient environments.
- Incorporate cultural, spiritual, and personal values into care delivery.
- Advocate for patient rights, confidentiality, and dignity.
- Educate patients, families, and staff to support informed decisions and health promotion.
- Collaborate with colleagues and delegate appropriately to ensure quality care.
- Apply systems thinking to balance safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Commit to professional growth, continuing education, and shared governance.
Requirements:
- RN License (TX or Compact)
- BLS | ACLS | TNCC | ENPC or PALS
- Minimum 2 years with Level III trauma experience
- Strong knowledge of ER nursing standards, trauma protocols, and patient care procedures.
- Skilled in critical thinking, rapid assessment, and emergency response.
- Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver patient-centered care across all ages with cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer skills.
