Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends)
Payrate: $75.00/ hr on w2
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

• The RN Infection Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring high-quality infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility.
• This role involves collaboration with physicians, department managers, and staff to manage infectious or immunosuppressed patients effectively. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures across departments.

• Establish and operate surveillance systems for detecting hospital-acquired and community infections.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

• Provide regular policy updates and education to staff and physicians.

• Investigate infection outbreaks or clusters and recommend corrective actions.

• Analyze bacteriology and infection data to suggest containment strategies for resistant microorganisms.

• Participate in Infection Control Committees and collaborate with health departments for disease reporting and control.

• Conduct regular audits and serve as a resource for infection prevention guidance.

• Participate in or lead staff training on infection control topics such as TB, HIV, Hepatitis, and Universal Precautions.

• Educate patients when necessary.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience in Infection Control.

  • Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience required.

• Licensure/Certifications (Required at submission):

  • Valid California RN License

  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
