Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Pediatrics

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Pediatrics 
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 3 Months+
 
General Description:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
 
Essential Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients
• Assist physician in examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver patient care competently
• Interact with family and patient to share care plan during hospital stay and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
