Job Title: RN - Med Surg
Location: Jackson, MI 48307
Duration: 3 Months+ contract (Possible Extension)
 
Schedule Notes: 7 AM – 7 PM


Job Summary:
  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
 
Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
 
Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
 
Required Certification & Licensure:
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • BLS
 
Skills:
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
 
Schedule Notes:
  • REQUIRED: 2+ YEARS OF GENERAL MEDSURG UNIT EXPERIENCE, BLS CERTIFICATION FROM AHA
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED: AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE WORKING ON A SURGICAL FLOOR.
  • FLOATING: CANDIDATES MAY BE ASKED TO FLOAT, LOCATION IS ACUITY ADAPTABLE. MAY BE ASKED TO FLOAT TO LOCKDOWN UNIT

Hours Per Day: 12.00
Days Per Week: 3.00
