Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 3 Months+
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 4 Days/Week, 40 Hours/Week (10-Hour Shifts)
Call Rotation: Late Weekday, Weekend, and Holiday Call Rotation
Float Position: No
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for an assigned group of patients in an inpatient setting. This role primarily involves adult patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and requires demonstrated competency in cardiology procedures and critical care nursing.
This position follows essential functions based on the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License (NLC participant) – Required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent – Required
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong foundation in nursing theory and practice from an accredited nursing program
- Clinical competence in care and management of patients specific to cardiac cath lab or similar environments
- Experience with cardiology procedural nursing, including pacemakers, cardioversions, and cardiac device management
- Experience in critical care, step-down units, or pre/post-cardiac procedure nursing
- Telemetry competency – Required
