Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
Location: Saint Joseph, MI
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Days, Variable start times (6:30, 7 or 7:30)  
On Call: 1-call back minimum 2 hours, 30-minute response time.

Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
 
Duties:

• Provide specialized care to cardiac patients before, during, and after procedures like catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Pre- and Post-Procedural Care: Assesses patients, reviews medical history, starts IVs, prepares the catheter insertion site (sterilization/shaving), and provides discharge instructions.
• Procedural Assistance (Scrub/Circulate): Assists cardiologists with procedures such as stent placements, angioplasties, and pacemaker insertions by maintaining a sterile field, handling equipment, and managing procedural documentation.
• Hemodynamic Monitoring and Sedation: Monitors patient vitals, ECG rhythms, and sedation levels during procedures, rapidly identifying and acting on adverse reactions or complications.
