Shift: 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
The RN - Oncology/Infusion will provide individualized nursing care for oncology patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, departmental policies, and procedures. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery, taking into account age-appropriate and developmental needs. This role may require floating to similar units based on staffing and patient needs.

Job Summary:
The RN - Oncology/Infusion will provide individualized nursing care for oncology patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, departmental policies, and procedures. This role may require floating to similar units based on staffing and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets all eligibility requirements of a Registered Nurse I.
- Works under the supervision of the Director.
- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individualized care.
- Completes nursing assessments and documents appropriately in the patient record.
- Develops care plans based on assessments and age/developmental needs.
- Collaborates with physicians, patients/families, and care team to develop and deliver the care plan.
- Delegates and coordinates aspects of care delivery.
- Manages discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Provides safe, quality, cost-effective care while monitoring use of time, supplies, and equipment.
- Participates in unit and hospital-wide improvement initiatives, in-services, and committees.
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to changes in patient census or hospital needs.
- Serves as charge nurse or preceptor as assigned.
- Communicates effectively to promote teamwork and resolve conflicts.
- Complies with safety policies and maintains a safe environment for all.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current AHA BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 4 years of oncology nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience in the specialty applying for.
- Epic EMR experience required – minimum of 6–12 months experience within the past year.
- Strong clinical knowledge and infusion experience (strongly preferred).
- Ability and willingness to float within cluster/similar departments (highly desirable).
- No RTO preferred between 9/15 – 11/26 (requests reviewed on a case-by-case basis).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- OCN Certification (Oncology Certified Nurse).
- Infusion Center RN experience.
