Job Title: RN Surgical Specialty
Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Job Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: Day/Night (12hr/3day)
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Specialty RN to join a dynamic healthcare team in Oklahoma City. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in surgical settings and are confident managing complex health conditions.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate care for a designated group of surgical patients.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and changes in medical orders.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' physiological data, intervening when necessary.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
• Collaborate with patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Educate patients on hospital policies and post-discharge expectations.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.
• Maintain professional communication with the care team and support departments.

 
Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association. 
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience in surgical/step-down units
• Experience with transplant or ENT patients preferred
• BLS/ACLS Certificate
• NIHSS Certificate
