Position Overview:
The RN provides competent nursing care to a variety of patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex in a hospital setting. This role involves direct patient care, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and support staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

Position Overview:

This role involves direct patient care, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and support staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; record all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor patient physiological data; observe for clinical changes and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications, initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care in alignment with hospital protocols.
- Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Make referrals for additional care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain working relationships with team members.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- N/A beyond the required skills.
Education & Licensure:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program.
- Licensure: Current RN License from the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Work Environment Notes:
- Requires experience in Med/Surg and Stepdown units.
- Hospital-based role with direct patient care responsibilities.
