Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound/Ostomy Care
Location options: Irvine, CA 92618 | San Marcos, CA | South San Francisco, CA | Moreno Valley, CA
Duration: 3 +Months (Possibility of extension)
Shift Time: Day Shift 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM) | 3 shifts/week | Every other weekend & holidays required
Local Pay Rate: $70.00/hr. on W2
Travel Pay Rate: $3,100.04/week (blended rate with stipend)

Seeking an experienced Wound Ostomy Nurse (RN) to function as a clinical resource for patients and staff in managing acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, continence disorders, and skin breakdown. The role involves both direct patient care and staff education, focusing on prevention, assessment, and management of complex wound and ostomy cases.

Description:
Seeking an experienced Wound Ostomy Nurse (RN) to function as a clinical resource for patients and staff in managing acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, continence disorders, and skin breakdown. The role involves both direct patient care and staff education, focusing on prevention, assessment, and management of complex wound and ostomy cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct wound and ostomy care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy management pre- and post-operatively.
- Serve as a clinical consultant to healthcare staff regarding wound, skin, and ostomy care.
- Participate in the selection, evaluation, and education of wound and skin care products and equipment.
- Conduct staff in-services, bedside teaching, and ongoing training on skin and wound care best practices.
- Stay current with advances in wound, ostomy, and continence management and integrate evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, documentation, and reporting standards.
- Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience.
- Active RN State License (CA)
- BLS (AHA)
- Wound and Ostomy Certification (CWOCN or CWCN Certification)
