Carrier Clinic - Assistant Nurse Manager
Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager
Location: Belle Mead, NJ, 08502
Duration: 06/16/2025 – 09/13/2025
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 Days Per Week, 36 Hours Per Week
Schedule Notes: Week 1 – Sun, Wed, Thurs / Week 2 – Mon, Fri, Sat
Weekends Required
Holidays Required: 2 – 4
On Call Required: No
Float Position: No
Pay Range: $62-$67/hr.
Job Summary:
• Supports the execution of nursing strategic priorities and provides operational and administrative support to nurse leadership.
• Coordinates staffing, quality and safety outcomes, unit efficiency, and oversees nursing care delivery in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Participates in recruitment, hiring, corrective actions, staff evaluations, scheduling, and staff development.
• Serves as a role model, leads multidisciplinary rounds, and ensures regulatory compliance and quality improvement monitoring.
• Participates in budget management, performance improvement projects, and employee recognition initiatives.
General Job Functions:
• Communicates and enforces policies, procedures, and standards.
• Serves as a role model and mentor to staff.
• Participates in conflict resolution, staff education, and unit-based governance committees.
• Leads or supports evidence-based practice projects and root cause analysis investigations.
• Assists with department budget, staffing productivity, and monitors business intelligence for the unit.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
• Current and valid New Jersey or Compact Registered Nurse license – Required
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• National certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to specialty (within two years of hire) – Required
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent
• Ability to adapt to patient needs, strong sense of accountability, teamwork, commitment to education, and passion for high-quality care
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience – Highly Preferred
