Assignment Type: 13 Weeks (Contract) | Possible Extension
Start Date: 10/20
Schedule: 12-hour NOC shifts | 36 hours/week

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse – Telemetry provides direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care for patients under the Nurse Practice Act and facility standards. The RN will collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Flexibility to float within cluster/similar units may be required.

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse – Telemetry provides direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care for patients under the Nurse Practice Act and facility standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, updating based on patient response.
- Provide and coordinate patient care, delegating as appropriate.
- Initiate and manage discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips, monitor ventilators (preferred), and interpret cardiac strips/EKGs.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and professional practice guidelines.
- Serve as charge nurse or preceptor when assigned.
- Contribute to departmental goals, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
Licensure: Active California RN License – Required
Certifications: BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year Telemetry RN experience – Required
- Must have cardiac drip titration experience (Insulin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- Epic experience: 6–12 months within the past year – Required
- Ventilator experience – Preferred
Skills:
- Ability to read/interpret cardiac strips and EKGs
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Flexibility to float within cluster/similar units – Highly Desirable
