Shift Availability: Day, Evening, and Night Shifts Available
 
Pay Range: $35 – $38/hour. on (W2)
 
About the Role:
We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our dedicated team at a nursing home in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves providing exceptional care and treatment under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Ideal candidates will bring compassion, professionalism, and a solid understanding of patient care in a nursing home setting.
 
Schedule Details:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM (5 workers needed)
• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (5 workers needed)
• Night Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM (4 workers needed)
• Work Week: 5x8-hour shifts with every other weekend required.

 
Key Responsibilities:
As an LPN, you will:

• Provide nursing care to patients, demonstrating proficient knowledge of treatment techniques.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic results and other available information.
• Document patient assessments, reevaluations, and changes in condition accurately and promptly.
• Respect patient privacy during care and evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient outcomes and communicate findings to the care team.
• Coordinate resources for post-institutional care needs, ensuring smooth discharge planning.
• Supervise non-professional subordinates as needed.

 
Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to perform duties in environments with moderate dust, noise, and activity levels.
• Physical capacity to stand, bend, stretch, and assist with patient handling.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and adherence to safety protocols.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment.

 
Physical Requirements:

• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue.
• Compliance with all safety standards related to hazardous materials and waste.
• Ability to lift and assist patients during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent program in professional nursing.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (preferred).
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Current NYS LPN Licensure (required).
