Join our esteemed team at the Client Medical Center's Burn Center Intensive, a 21-bed ICU equipped with the most state-of-the-art and innovative equipment. Our center is North Carolina's only burn care center of excellence, providing comprehensive care to burn victims of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and at every level of acuity, from critical care through rehabilitation.
Schedule and Shift Details
- Shift: Nights (7p-7a)
- FTE: 0.9
- Weekends Required: Yes; Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Holidays Required: Yes; Every Other Holiday (EOH)
- On-Call Required: No
Job Summary
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Essential Duties
- Education: Identify and meet your learning needs and attend educational programs.
- Evaluation of Care: Identify expected patient outcomes and participate in discussions with the interdisciplinary team.
- Implementation: Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems and perform bedside point-of-care testing.
- Leadership: Develop goals for professional growth and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Patient Assessment: Recognize data from complex situations to determine care priorities and assess discharge needs.
- Planning: Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care and address cultural and ethnic issues.
- Research: Engage with relevant journals and bring ideas to the staff for assessment.
Skills & Experience
- Required: One (1) year of nursing experience.
- Preferred: N/A
Education
- Required: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Certifications & Licensure
- Required: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC).
- Preferred: N/A
