RN - OPERATING ROOM - ENDOVASCULAR - DAYS
Job Title: RN - OPERATING ROOM - ENDOVASCULAR - DAYS
Job Location: Portland, ME
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am / 7:00pm - 5:30am
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36.
Weekend Hours:
- 36 (unless otherwise noted): 1:4 weekends, 12 hour shifts.
Call Requirements:
- One overnight call, 11pm - 7am for Trauma call, if on a specialty team, call will be scheduled per specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Client).
Education & Certifications Required:
- CNOR preferred.
SBAR:
Situation:
- The vascular team is a call team specialty.
- Currently we have 2 openings for an RN.
Background:
- The vascular team currently runs on a call model with 6-7 RNs rotating through on 6-week blocks.
- The call is too heavy and burdensome for most employees when they must cover additional time which takes away from work life balance and overall work performance which can have negative effects on patient care and safety.
Assessment:
- 1-2 RNs are needed for the model to work effectively, run smoothly, and to also cover three vascular rooms that run each day.
Recommendation:
- I would like to bring in at least one travel RN and plan to train and/or hire two RNs to make this team complete with the numbers and cases we currently are covering.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 26.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1.
- Equipment: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot.
- EMR: Epic.
Hiring Profile:
Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Level 1 trauma experience.
- At least 2 years of experience.
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
- General, GU/GYN, Client trauma, Client joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular.
Type of Patients on Unit:
- Operating Room.
Personality Fit:
