Contract Duration: 3 Months+ (with Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both the front and back office. This includes greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center’s staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.

Required Skills:
Experience Required: 2 to 3 years.

The candidate must have recent experience in scheduling appointments, taking and recording vital signs, rooming patients, and performing blood draws in the last six months. Candidates should have current BLS or CPR certification, or a timeline for obtaining it. Experience with EKG testing, Point of Care Testing within the past six months, and Athena-EMR experience is also required.

Credentialing requirements include onboarding steps such as:

- The clinic sees patients aged 2 and older.
- Providers and a dispensary work in the clinic.
- Wellness programs include Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, Diabetes Management, Nutrition Program, and Stress Management.

- Medical Assistant Certification is strongly preferred.
- Occupational Health experience is strongly preferred.
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience are required.
- Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with patients, and strong computer skills are required.
- You should want to work in an environment where health education and outreach is important to you and challenges you to make a difference.

- Background check including OIG, County, National, and SSN verification.
- CPR or BLS certification.
- EMR Training through Media Lab.
- Fee Collection training via Media Lab.
- HIPAA and Security Awareness training through Media Lab.
- Medical Assistant Certification (preferred and required if applicable by state).
- OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogens training through Media Lab.
- Other requirements such as fingerprinting, drug screening, etc.
