Job Title: Registered Nurse Obstetrics and Neonatal Care
Location: Lander, WY 82520
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: July 21, 2025
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse will perform comprehensive plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical procedures. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while monitoring and communicating patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications, collect specimens, and provide clinical treatments as ordered.

Assess patient condition and implement care plans effectively.

Monitor and document patient status; communicate relevant information to physicians and care team.

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and mobility.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.

Evaluate and provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and medical condition.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Circulate during Cesarean sections (C-Sections) and assist physicians during deliveries.

Follow policies during recovery and postoperative care of surgical patients.

Attend neonatal station during C-Sections and perform thorough neonatal assessments post-delivery.

Maintain certifications, including fetal monitoring (every two years), STABLE certification (if offered), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Identify and communicate critical information to physicians and patients promptly.
Qualifications:

Registered Nurse licensure required.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics and neonatal care.

Current NRP certification and fetal monitoring certification required.

Ability to work night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) for the duration of the assignment.

Strong communication, assessment, and patient advocacy skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
