Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to laboring women, including monitoring vitals, fetal heart tones, and progress of labor.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal births and C-sections.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Educate and support patients and families during the childbirth experience.
- Perform assessments and respond to emergencies using critical thinking and clinical skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Active California RN license (unencumbered)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Experience with high-risk deliveries and knowledge of obstetric emergencies is a plus
