Step Down Unit (SDU) - Critical Need

Job Title: RN-PCU (Step Down Unit (SDU) – Critical Adult Need)
Job Location:  Baldwin Park CA
Job Duration: November/ December Starts
Shift: 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM- Nights
Schedule: 13 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Weekly Gross: $2500- $3000/week for Travellers (50 Miles above from Facility ), $60- $69/- on Local  
  
License and Certifications:

• Active RN license in the state of California
• BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) - Required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 
• NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale - If Expired Can Renew or Apply  after Offer 
   

Responsibilities:
As a Step Down Unit (SDU) RN, you will provide care for patients who are transitioning from intensive care but still require close monitoring and specialized nursing care. Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring and assessing patients with moderate to high acuity conditions.
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
3. Managing cardiac monitors, IV drips, and other advanced equipment.
4. Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
5. Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate medical records.
6. Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.
7. Responding promptly to changes in patient condition and initiating appropriate interventions.
8. Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
9. Participating in unit meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
10. Supporting a safe and healing environment for patients in transition from critical care.
