Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology (Surgical)
Location: Dallas, TX 75001
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Shift: Days or Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Block schedule available – any 3 consecutive days upon request.
General Description:
Under general supervision, the RN provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex.

General Description:
Under general supervision, the RN provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, including changes in physician orders
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures or treatments
- Obtain and monitor physiological data and observe patient conditions, intervening when necessary
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
- Deliver patient care competently and safely
- Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
- Educate patients and families on hospital procedures
- Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegate tasks to support staff when appropriate
General Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN Oncology /Medsurg oncology experience in a hospital experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS from AHA and ONS/ONCC Certification.
- RN Oklahoma state license/ Multistate license.
