RN - Neuro ICU/SICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse Neuro ICU / Surgical ICU (SICU)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 8 weeks Contract with possible extension
Pay range - $65/hr. - $70/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

Schedule:
Work Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

Job Summary:
We are actively seeking experienced ICU travel nurses for its Neuro Intensive Care and Surgical Intensive Care Units. This role involves managing high-acuity post-operative neurosurgical and trauma patients. The ideal candidate must be proficient in advanced critical care protocols, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management. Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
A competency test will be sent to the candidate's email and must be completed within 48 hours of submission.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill neuro and surgical ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret advanced hemodynamic parameters
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and neuro-specific interventions
• Manage complex devices (e.g., EVDs, ICP monitors, a-lines, CVP)
• Provide post-operative care for neurological and surgical patients
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care teams
• Accurately document in Epic EMR and comply with all protocols
• May be required to float to other critical care units as needed

Skills & Requirements:

• EMR: Epic experience REQUIRED
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU staff nursing experience (Required)
• Certification: AHA ACLS, BLS (Preferred: CCRN or TNCC)
• Education: NY Active RN license (Willing to review candidates with pending state license)
