Requirements



Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse



Education

  • Required: Registered Nurse Diploma

  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing



Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

  • CPI Blue Card 12 months (Crisis Prevention Institute ONLY)



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment




Job Summary

Acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Product & Standards of Practice. Delegates and directs licensed and ancillary team members, maintains accountability for quality patient outcomes, supports departmental strategic goals, and demonstrates professional responsibility in alignment with the organizations nursing philosophy.




Job Duties

  • Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care

  • Assesses learning needs and implements appropriate patient and family education strategies

  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources effectively

  • Uses data and information to evaluate outcomes and promote improvements

  • Promotes customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing standards

  • Adapts care and communication to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and cultural differences

  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulatory standards

  • Adheres to Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including reporting safety or compliance concerns




Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50100 pounds occasionally, 2550 pounds frequently, or 1020 pounds constantly

  • Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and communicable diseases

  • Work performed in direct patient care environments

  • Potential exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within healthcare settings
