Duration: 1 Month+
Pay Rate: $70/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
The Client Float Pool (CHFP) consists of nurses trained to work in all Pediatric areas of the hospital including the Neonatal ICU (NICU), Pediatric ICU (PICU), General Pediatric floors, Postpartum mother/baby, and the Pediatric Emergency Department. CHFP nurses do not have assigned beds or exam rooms. At the beginning of each shift, CHFP RNs receive their assignments from the Centralized Nursing Staffing Office or CHFP Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, with assignments subject to change based on patient and staffing needs. Nurses care for patients aged 0-21 years experiencing conditions such as prematurity, respiratory illness, trauma, sepsis, surgical interventions, neurological disorders, complex medical/surgical needs, and diabetic ketoacidosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care across multiple pediatric units including NICU, PICU, general pediatric floors, postpartum mother/baby, and pediatric emergency department.
- Adapt to shifting assignments and varying patient care needs as directed by nursing management.
- Deliver care to a diverse pediatric patient population from newborn to 21 years of age with various acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Epic EMR experience: Required
- Uniform: Navy blue scrubs required
