Travel RN – CDU

Job Title: Travel RN CDU
Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days | 7:00 AM 7:00 PM | 12-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $65/hour

Travelers will float to ED but to take care of ED holds with admission orders.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; establish care priorities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized plans of care

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely

• Perform point-of-care testing as required

• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning

• Coordinate and delegate care activities to support staff as appropriate

• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and unit staff

• Float to the Emergency Department to care for ED holds with admission orders

• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and high standards of customer service

• Support orientation of new staff and function as a unit resource when needed

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

• Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact State RN license

• BLS certification (AHA required)

• ACLS certification (AHA required)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment

• Physical ability to assist with patient mobility, transfers, and prolonged standing

• Prior experience in CDU, ED, or acute care settings

• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
