Job Title: RN – Haematology / Oncology
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 3 Months / 13 weeks (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: 12-hour Nights + EOW
 
Job Description:
  • Patient Care: Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive treatments to oncology and haematology patients while monitoring for side effects and reactions.
  • Assessment & Monitoring: Regularly assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, including lab results, vital signs, and symptoms related to cancer or blood disorders.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans for individual patients.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on cancer treatments, side effects, symptom management, and lifestyle changes to improve quality of life and outcomes.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families coping with cancer or blood disorders, offering resources and referrals as needed.
 
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in relevant unit

Education:
  • ASN required
  • BSN preferred
 
Certifications and Licenses:
  • WI RN License or compact state license
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ONC required
  • ACLS (AHA) preferred
