Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Sand Springs, OK 74063
Duration: 12 Months+ (Full time)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Days)
Full Time | 08-hour shifts | 5 shifts per week | 40 hours/week

Job Summary:
Assists in providing patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and care coordination to ensure effective delivery of patient care and high patient satisfaction. Responsible for direct provision of ancillary services or advanced, specialized knowledge integral to the job function.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and express sensitivity to their needs and conditions.
 - Assess and document patient condition, including chief complaint, vital signs, weight, medications, and social history.
 - Record services and diagnoses accurately on encounter forms, requisitions, consent forms, and notices.
 - Assist with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments per established protocols.
 - Perform ancillary services (e.g., venipuncture, x-rays) independently as per protocol.
 - Maintain medical records, including chart preparation and filing of correspondence and test results.
 - Coordinate care through phone messages, appointment scheduling, and prescription refills.
 - Use IDX, EMR, and other computer applications effectively.
 - Track ordered or pending tests, procedures, and referrals.
 - Administer medications orally or via intramuscular injection under physician orders.
 - Determine eligibility and obtain authorizations for services.
 - Schedule and track referrals for diagnostic or specialist services.
 - Promote patient wellness through education as directed by the provider.
 - Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to address patient questions and needs.
 - Participate in quality initiatives and safety functions.
 - Assist in identifying and ordering needed supplies.
 - Remain informed and compliant with Health System, Clinic, OSHA, and HIPAA policies.
 - Maintain exemplary patient satisfaction and function as an engaged team member.
 
Decision-Making: Performs non-routine procedures under changing conditions, following general supervisor instructions.
Working Relationships:
- Direct interaction with patients, internal/external customers, and healthcare professionals.
 - Frequent communication with individuals at the Director level or higher.
 
Required Skills & Experience
- 0–1 year of related experience.
 - System Knowledge: Epic
 - Knowledge of disease management, bio-psychosocial models, and clinical pathways.
 - Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
 - Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
 - Detail-oriented and accurate with clinical and numerical data.
 - Demonstrated patient care and PC/computer skills.
 - Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment.
 
Preferred:
- Advanced experience or education supporting ancillary services and patient education.
 - Experience with clinical decision-making support.
 
Required Education:
- Completion of a practical nursing program or equivalent coursework approved by a state board of nursing.
 
Required Certifications & Licensure :
- Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
