Travel Pay Rate:
Gross weekly: $3188/week
W2: $36.50/hr. on W2
Per diem: $1655/week
Local Pay: $65/hr. on W2
Shift: 3*12hrs (Days/Nights)
Duration: 13+ weeks contract

This role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions. The RN ER collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based care.

Job Summary:

The RN ER collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid, accurate assessment of patients presenting with medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies.
- Triage patients based on acuity using established Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols.
- Initiate and monitor IVs, administer medications, and provide advanced cardiac and trauma care per protocol.
- Assist physicians with emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, wound care, and resuscitation efforts.
- Provide care for patients of all ages and conditions, including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, gastrointestinal, psychiatric, and trauma cases.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and overall patient condition; respond to clinical changes promptly.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code Blue teams as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years recent Emergency Room experience in an acute care hospital.
- Strong triage and rapid assessment skills.
- Proficient in managing high-acuity and trauma patients.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- EMR experience required; EPIC experience preferred
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Active RN License (State of CA)
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
