Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
Location: Bronx, New York, 10461
Duration: 3+ months (with possible extension)
Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 4 days/week, 9.5 hrs/day, 38 hrs/week, No On-Call Required
Work Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Interventional Radiology
Pay Range: $85 - $90/hr on w2
Stipend provided to Travelers.
Schedule Notes: Minimum two (2) years critical care experience required; IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation experience required.
Job Summary:
- Provides nursing support in interventional radiology procedures
- Assists with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care
- Performs IV insertions and blood draws
- Monitors patients during procedures including sedation management
- Assesses patient condition and responds to changes in real-time
- Collaborates with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintains accurate documentation and ensures compliance with clinical protocols
Required Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Primary Source Verification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years critical care experience
- IV insertion
- Phlebotomy
- Conscious sedation
