Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Duration: 3 Months+ contract (with possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week (36 hours/week), including weekends and holidays

Overtime: Billed after 48 hours/week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse to join the care team in Jackson, MI. This is a night shift role on a 13-week contract. The RN will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
This role may involve floating to a lockdown unit. The location is acuity adaptable, requiring flexibility and strong clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver direct patient care in accordance with established standards
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Provide education to patients and families to support informed care decisions
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Support patients’ physical, emotional, psychosocial, and cultural needs
- Ensure accurate documentation of all care and communications
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the State of Michigan
- BLS Certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Comfortable floating to alternate units as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on a surgical floor
- BSN degree
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to adapt to acuity levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care
