Job Description (Required):
We are looking for an energetic and experienced mass spectrometry scientist to join our Research Client Characterization team in the Protein Solutions and Bioanalytical department. This individual will help us grow our mass spectrometry capabilities, lead the development of new or improved techniques for the characterization of proteins and antibody drug conjugates in various matrices, as well as maintain our shared mass spectrometers. They will also participate in collaborative, cross-functional teams to enable cancer therapeutic development and aid in exploring scientific questions surrounding antibody-based therapeutic activity and behavior.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine and develop Client and appropriate LC-MS methods for the characterization of intact ADCs, antibodies, and other proteins
Develop and optimize both broadly applicable and fit-for-purpose methodologies for the capture, characterization, and quantification of proteins and conjugates from biological samples
Perform pepProduct mapping to deeply characterize proteins and bioconjugates
Provide care, maintenance, and troubleshooting of shared LC-MS instrumentation, including training new users and developing and maintaining best practices
Provide technical and scientific advice and support to scientists of all levels, advise on LC and mass spectrometry related questions, and provide sample processing and data analysis for non-MS users
Practice continuous improvement to refine methods and optimize processes, staying in touch with relevant literature and state of the art technologies
Maintain strong communication and collaborative relationships with mass spectrometry groups outside of Research
Create and organize technical information to deliver effective presentations in multiple forums
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
