Registered Nurse – SICU
Job Title: Registered Nurse – SICU
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)
Shift: 12-hour shifts Days/Nights
Schedule: 3 Days/Week, 36 Hours/Week, Every Other Weekend
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients in an inpatient environment. The nurse demonstrates competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. Responsibilities align with the ANA Nursing: Product and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Required:
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License (NLC)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- Clinical competence in managing patient populations relevant to SICU
- Must pass Basic Rhythm Interpretation (BRI) with 85% or higher
- Trauma/surgical ICU experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Previous travel experience
